Graphic Designs

There is no escaping the “graphic design” part of website creation and development. If you can’t do it you will need someone who can. As with my skills in coding HTML and CSS, working with graphic images and other graphical elements continues to be an ongoing persuit of mine to improve upon.

While graphic design is not my primary area of expertise, it amounts to a percentage of the overall work required in producing content for the web. I try my hardest to provide professional looking graphical elements such as logos, graphic ads, buttons, banners, etc. Unless a client already has a pro graphic girl or guy to do the work, I usually end up doing a fair share of the graphical design work.

I am often more affordable as well since I can factor in the extra graphic work at onset of the project estimate of a full development project.

I don't often do independent graphic work outside of web design. I have designed for both the screen and print, and I can say I much prefer to focus on design for the screen.

General Consulting

I feel confident enough to be able to provide accurate and detailed feedback on a proposed website project. I will refrain from calling myself an "expert", but I do believe I have amassed enough knowledge to meet most expectations when it comes to development for the web.

Search Engine Optimization

Seach Engine Optimization (SEO) should be taken into consideration for every website project. From on-page SEO to off-page marketing options, I give you my best understanding and practice.

A science in itself, SEO is a constantly evolving area of focus in the web development process. While I try to keep current with what’s coming down the pike with Google and others, doing so can drive one a little bit mad. It is an intigral part of the website development and I will share fundamentals to focus on for optimizing your exposure on the web.

I will always be optimizing HTML and CSS page code (on-page) for the greatest SEO impact in the Search Engine Results Page (SERPs) as I understand them.

One thing I will not engage in is “grey hat” or “black hat” techniques on “gaming” the SERPs. These, for the most part are counter productive, with the potential for gaining negative results in the SERPs, but primarily “turning off” visitors to your site. At all times you should be focused on writing content for your audience with respect for them as smart, thinking individuals and being as clear and friendly in your communication as possible. Trying to stuff a keyword on a page for the sake of ranking solely is bad for readability and detracts from honest presentaion of content.
